Jhang: A walk was held here on Monday in connection with “World Earth Day” under the arrangements of district Environment department. DCO Shahid Niaz led the walk which started from the DCO office and culminated at Jamil Shaheed Park
Lodhi, DDO Social Welfare, other officers, social activists and school children were participated in the walk. The participants of the walk carried play cards inscribed different slogans and writings about the environment protection. Addressing the participants, the DCO said that it was our joint responsibility to to keep the earth neat and clean to avoid the hazards of pollution for the survival of the human beings. He urged that maximum plantation should done for the beautification of the earth and to overcome the issue of environmental pollution. He directed the environment department official to take legal action against the smoke emitting vehicles and factories causing environment pollution. He appreciated the participant’s passion to save the earth from pollution and holding the walk for raising the awareness of the public.
