Under the directions of CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a Wildlife Park is being set up on 16 acre land at Jhang Chiniot

Jhang:             Under the directions of CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a Wildlife Park is being set up on 16 acre land at Jhang Chiniot road at a cost of Rs.14.50. which was inaugurated by Secretary Wildlife Punjab Mahr Babar Hassain Barwana here on Wednesday.  MPA Mahr Sultan Sikandar Barwala, Secretary Livestock Jehanzeb Khan, DG Wildlife Zafar Ullah Khan, Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain, DG Fisheries Muhammad Asrah, DCO Shahid Niaz, other officers and elite of the areas were also present on the occasion.  

 While addressing the inaugural ceremony, Secretary Wildlife informed that CM Punjab approved this project with great interest which was a gift for the people of Jhang.  He said that more areas of land would be added in this park and this project would be completed with full attention and responsibility.  He said that wild animals and birds would be kept in this park besides providing other recreational facilities to the peoples.  He asked the DCO to arrange the public transport for the citizens from city to Chanab Wildlife Park and regular monitoring should also be carried out for timely completion of this recreational project.  Secretary Livestock Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan that Jhang was historical district which was also hub of livestock.  He said that this district was gaining the speed of development and more projects would also be initiated for the relief of people of Jhang.  Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain said that the plight of the Jhang was improving as Punjab govt. was completing various development projects at a cost of Rs.500 millions during the current financial year and more funds of Rs.500 million would be spent during the next financial year.  He informed that different uplift schemes were undertaken including Jhang Byepass, library, Nawaz Sharif park, Girls College Jhang City, Boys and Girls Degree Colleges at Mandi Shahjewna and establishment of hospital besides construction of different city roads.  He said that Chanab Wildlife Park would be made remarkable project for the amusement of wildlife lovers.
